Sharad Navratri 2026 begins on September 21 and is the most celebrated Navratri of the year. Over nine nights, devotees worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga (Navadurga). Gujarat comes alive with Garba and Dandiya Raas, Bengal hosts magnificent Durga Puja pandals, and South India celebrates Golu/Bommai Kolu (doll displays).

Significance

Navratri means 'nine nights' and celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura. Each night honors a different aspect of the divine feminine – from fierce warrior to gentle mother.
