Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully before using Mego. By accessing or using the Mego application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mego.

  • Mego provides clarity and decision-support guidance based on astrology-derived computations. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

  • You may use Mego as a guest or create an optional account. You must be at least 16 years old.

  • Mego Pro is a paid subscription managed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Billing and refunds are governed by the app store's policies.

  • Your content and data remain yours. We claim no ownership of your personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

  • We provide Mego "as is." We disclaim liability for decisions you make based on Mego's guidance.

  • Disputes are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, India.

  • We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email.


Full Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have specific meanings:

  • "Mego" or "Service" means the Mego mobile application, the Mego web application at https://mego.ai, and all related services, content, and features provided by us.

  • "We," "us," "our" means GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the laws of India.

  • "You," "your," "User" means any individual who accesses or uses the Service, whether as a guest or a registered account holder.

  • "Account" means a registered user account created by signing in via Google Sign-In or another authentication method we make available.

  • "Guidance" means any output produced by Mego, including daily posture signals (Protect / Adjust / Act), confidence scores, 10-minute plans, timing assessments, and responses from Ask Mego.

  • "Birth Inputs" means your date of birth, birth time (optional), and birth place, as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • "Derived Outputs" or "Computed Outputs" means the processed results of our algorithms, generated from your Birth Inputs.

  • "Mego Pro" means the paid subscription tier that unlocks additional features, as described within the app.

  • "Ask Mego" means the AI-powered conversational feature that generates personalised responses using large language model services.

  • "Content" means all text, graphics, user interface elements, visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, artwork, algorithms, and computer code that form part of the Service.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Mego, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://mego.ai/privacy). Together, these documents form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of Mego.

If you are using Mego on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and that organisation.

We may offer features that have additional terms (e.g., beta features, promotional offers). Those additional terms will be presented to you and, if you accept them, will form part of your agreement with us. In the event of a conflict between additional terms and these Terms, the additional terms will govern for that specific feature.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Mego. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If we learn that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account (if any) and delete their data promptly. If you believe a minor is using Mego, please contact us at support@mego.ai.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for users between 16 and 18, you represent that you have obtained such consent.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Guest Use

You may use Mego's core features without creating an account. In guest mode, your Birth Inputs are processed on your device and are not stored on our servers, as described in our Privacy Policy. Guest users may have limited access to certain features (e.g., Ask Mego, cloud backup, multi-device sync).

4.2 Account Creation

To access additional features, you may create an Account by signing in via Google Sign-In or another authentication method we make available. When you create an Account:

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account.

  • You agree to notify us immediately at support@mego.ai if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your Account.

  • We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your Account where you have failed to maintain the security of your credentials.

4.3 Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account, with or without notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms or any applicable law.

  • Your use of Mego poses a security risk or threatens the integrity of the Service.

  • We are required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process.

  • Your Account has been inactive for a prolonged period (we will attempt to notify you before termination for inactivity).

You may delete your Account at any time through Settings → Delete My Data. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is deleted.

5. Description of the Service

5.1 What Mego Does

Mego provides daily "Protect / Adjust / Act" guidance and a 10-minute plan to help you navigate uncertainty. The app uses astrology-based timing algorithms (rooted in Vedic computation methods) to generate Derived Outputs that inform your personalised Guidance.

Mego is a clarity and decision-support tool. It is designed to provide a framework for reflection. It does not predict the future, guarantee outcomes, or replace professional advice of any kind.

5.2 Ask Mego (AI-Powered Feature)

Ask Mego allows you to ask questions and receive personalised responses generated by AI (large language model) services. When you use Ask Mego:

  • Your question and Derived Outputs (not raw Birth Inputs) are sent to our AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Responses are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific circumstances.

  • Ask Mego responses are not professional advice. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, therapeutic, or any other form of professional advice. Do not rely on Ask Mego responses as a substitute for qualified professional consultation.

  • You may control whether Ask Mego conversations are backed up to our servers using the cloud backup setting in the app.

5.3 Availability

We aim to keep Mego available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance where practicable.

6. Important Disclaimers About Mego's Guidance

This is one of the most important sections of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

6.1 Not Professional Advice

Mego's Guidance - including daily posture signals, confidence scores, plans, timing assessments, and Ask Mego responses - is provided solely for informational, reflective, and entertainment purposes. It is not:

  • Medical or health advice. Do not use Mego's Guidance to diagnose, treat, or manage any health condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.

  • Legal advice. Do not rely on Mego's Guidance for legal decisions. Consult a qualified lawyer.

  • Financial or investment advice. Do not make investment, trading, or financial decisions based on Mego's Guidance. Consult a qualified financial advisor.

  • Psychological or therapeutic advice. Mego is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or mental health treatment. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

  • A prediction of the future. Mego uses astrology-based algorithms to suggest frameworks for reflection. The outputs are computational and interpretive, not prophetic.

6.2 Your Responsibility

You bear sole responsibility for any decisions you make or actions you take based on Mego's Guidance. We strongly encourage you to exercise independent judgment and to seek qualified professional advice before making significant decisions in areas such as health, finances, legal matters, or personal safety.

6.3 No Guarantees of Accuracy

While we strive to provide helpful and thoughtful outputs, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any Guidance produced by Mego. Guidance is generated by algorithms and AI systems that may produce errors, inconsistencies, or outputs that are not applicable to your specific circumstances.

6.4 Astrology-Based Nature

You acknowledge and agree that Mego's computations are based on Vedic astrology timing algorithms. Whether or not you personally believe in astrology, you agree to use Mego's outputs as a framework for reflection and planning rather than as established fact or scientific prediction.

7. Subscriptions, Payments, and Mego Pro

7.1 Free and Paid Tiers

Mego offers both free features and a paid subscription (Mego Pro). The scope of features available in each tier may change over time. We will communicate material changes to tier features through the app.

7.2 App Store Billing

All purchases of Mego Pro are processed through the platform's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). We do not directly collect, process, or store your payment card details, billing address, or financial information. All billing is governed by the applicable app store's terms of service and payment policies.

7.3 Subscription Terms

  • Mego Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or annually, as selected) unless you cancel before the renewal date.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store subscription settings on your device.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to Mego Pro features until that period ends.

7.4 Pricing

Subscription pricing is displayed in the app and the relevant app store at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Any price change will apply to the next billing cycle after the change is communicated, not retroactively.

7.5 Refunds

Refund requests are governed by the policies of the relevant app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the app store's support or reach out to us at support@mego.ai and we will assist where possible.

7.6 Free Trials and Promotional Offers

We may offer free trials or promotional pricing from time to time. At the end of a free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the then-current price unless you cancel before the trial ends. We will clearly disclose trial terms (duration and post-trial price) before you sign up.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Mego only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use Mego for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, algorithms, or computational methods of Mego, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Service, including device attestation, rate limiting, or session management.

  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.

  • Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Content or Guidance produced by Mego, except for your personal, non-commercial use.

  • Use Mego to generate content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

  • Use Mego in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent Birth Inputs with the intent to manipulate outputs for purposes that could harm third parties.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action (including suspension or termination) against anyone who violates this section.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Intellectual Property

All Content forming part of the Service - including the app's design, user interface, text, graphics, logos, icons, algorithms, computational methods, software code, and compiled outputs - is owned by or licensed to GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Mego for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its Content.

9.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of your personal data (Birth Inputs, profile information, and questions submitted to Ask Mego). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9.3 Feedback

If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding Mego (whether through the app, email, or otherwise), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the Service without obligation or compensation to you. Do not submit feedback that you consider confidential or proprietary.

9.4 Trademarks

"Mego," the Mego logo, and other names, logos, and marks used in the Service are trademarks of GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED (or its licensors). You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Services

Mego integrates with and relies on third-party services, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 5.2). These include authentication providers, cloud hosting, analytics, AI providers, and app store platforms. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of any third-party service. We do not endorse any third-party service by virtue of its integration with Mego.

If a third-party service becomes unavailable or changes its terms in a way that affects Mego, we may need to modify, suspend, or discontinue affected features. We will notify you of material changes where practicable.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

  • Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

  • Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of any Guidance, Derived Outputs, or other content produced by Mego.

  • Any warranty that the Service will meet your requirements or expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Exclusion of Certain Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, however caused and under any theory of liability.

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

  • Damages arising from your reliance on any Guidance, Derived Outputs, or Ask Mego responses produced by the Service.

  • Damages arising from the actions of third-party service providers integrated with Mego.

12.2 Liability Cap

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (THROUGH THE APP STORE) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (b) INR 5,000 (INDIAN RUPEES FIVE THOUSAND).

12.3 Basis of the Bargain

You acknowledge that the disclaimers and limitations of liability in Sections 11 and 12 reflect a fair and reasonable allocation of risk between you and us, and that these provisions form an essential basis of the bargain between us. We would not be able to provide the Service to you on an economically reasonable basis without these limitations.

12.4 Jurisdictional Variations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your breach of these Terms.

  • Your use of the Service in a manner not authorised by these Terms or applicable law.

  • Your violation of any rights of a third party.

  • Any claim that your actions based on Mego's Guidance caused harm to you or a third party.

This indemnification obligation survives the termination of your Account and these Terms.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection, use, and handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://mego.ai/privacy. By using Mego, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

Key privacy protections are summarised here for convenience (the Privacy Policy governs in case of conflict):

  • In guest mode, Birth Inputs are processed on your device and are not stored on our servers.

  • Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256 on device, encryption at rest on servers).

  • We do not sell your personal data.

  • You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time.

  • You can contact privacy@mego.ai to exercise your data protection rights.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@mego.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Most disputes can be resolved through good-faith dialogue.

15.3 Jurisdiction

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, you agree that any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Mumbai, India. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

15.4 Arbitration (Optional)

At our election, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally may be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, seated in Mumbai, India, in the English language. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding.

15.5 Class Action Waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY PROCEEDINGS TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. If this waiver is found to be unenforceable in your jurisdiction, then the entirety of this arbitration provision shall be null and void with respect to you.

16. Termination

16.1 Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using Mego at any time. If you have an Account, you may delete it through Settings → Delete My Data. If you have an active Mego Pro subscription, you must separately cancel it through the app store to avoid further charges; deleting your Account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

16.2 Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your access to Mego, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including for a breach of these Terms. Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure (except in cases of serious or repeated violations, or where required by law).

16.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your licence to use the Service is immediately revoked.

  • We will delete your server-side data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention schedule.

  • Data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6 (Disclaimers), 9 (Intellectual Property), 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), 15 (Governing Law), and this Section 16.3.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Effective Date" and "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.

  • Provide notice through the app (e.g., an in-app banner or notification) or, where you have an Account, by email.

Your continued use of Mego after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to any change, you must stop using Mego and, if applicable, delete your Account.

We will not retroactively reduce your rights or increase your obligations under these Terms without giving you a meaningful opportunity to review and accept or reject the changes.

18. General Provisions

18.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of Mego and supersede all prior understandings, agreements, or representations.

18.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of GIAS VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED.

18.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. We will notify you of any such assignment.

18.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including (without limitation) natural disasters, acts of government, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or failures of third-party service providers.

18.6 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any rights for any third party. No person other than you and us has the right to enforce any provision of these Terms.

18.7 Language

These Terms are drafted in English. If these Terms are translated into any other language for convenience, the English version shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency.

18.8 Notices

Notices to you may be provided through the app, by email to the address associated with your Account, or by posting on https://mego.ai. Notices to us should be sent to support@mego.ai or by post to our registered address.

19. Consumer Protection

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction. Where such laws apply, the limitations and exclusions in these Terms apply only to the maximum extent permitted by those laws.

If you are an Indian consumer, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 are not affected by these Terms. Our registered office address and contact details are provided in Section 20 below.
